Numbers alone do not tell a story. But they can help shed light on underlying issues, like the gender gap on Wikipedia. The free encyclopedia, and all Wikimedia projects, share a vision of a world in which everyone can freely access the sum of all human knowledge. The Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit organization behind Wikipedia, believes we can fulfill this vision. But to do so, Wikipedia needs more women.
