Lorenzo Losa

Lorenzo Losa has been deeply involved in Wikimedia projects since he began editing Wikipedia in 2004. Since then, he has made over 1 million edits across different projects and filled a number of volunteer roles including Italian Wikipedia administrator, bot operator, and OTRS volunteer.

Lorenzo joined the board of Wikimedia Italia in 2011 and served as its president from 2016–2020. He served on the Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) as a community-elected member (2015-2019). He joined the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees in December 2021.

Originally from Milan, Italy, Lorenzo earned a Masters degree in Mathematics from the Scuola Normale Superiore. He currently leads the development of an electronic brokerage platform.

Lorenzo is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English.
