Tajh Taylor

Tajh L. Taylor is the VP of Data Science and Engineering at the Wikimedia Foundation, where he leads teams in machine learning, research & decision science, data platform, and the teams working on the Foundation’s core software platform, MediaWiki, a free and open source server-based wiki software application.

Prior to joining the Wikimedia Foundation, Tajh served as Chief Technology Officer at Catalist, a progressive data utility focused on voter registration and participation analytics. Tajh currently serves on the advisory board of the media research lab Harmony Labs, whose project Narrative Observatory researches understanding and reaching different types of public audiences.

In over twenty years of experience across various industry fields,  Tajh has overseen transformational efforts to engineer and re-engineer systems that process voter registration and participation data, collect and distribute satellite weather imaging, track cancer research data, verify ASIC circuit design, among many other application areas.

In his spare time, Tajh enjoys playing jazz and classical piano, making barbecue, and teaching his kids random facts of nature.
